Dancing poi for me is a tool of self expression. While raising my kids my attention was fully on those two creatures. There were rare moments when I had time for myself. When I started to play poi, it created a new space within mommy space that I could claim while still having mainly my attention for the kids. But this space with poi gave me joy and enabled me to reconnect to myself and my body in a way that was not restricted by time nor space. And in the practise of poi I learned about my sensuality, about learning to learn, attachments, limitations of the mind and the list can go on. I strongly feel that learning the skill of poi flow changes people and therefor has a power to change the world. Very happy to share my story, thank you for this opportunity!
